The present article presents a set of reflections concerning the public applied policies of a formal and informal way in Venezuela in relation to the control of the birthrate. Specifically there develop in this article the options that the Venezuelan woman has to avoid a not wished pregnancy, the paper of the sexual education in the Venezuelan education and the alternatives to which one sees obliged to resort in case of to remain a pregnant woman. The article is organized in the following sections: the woman rights in the constitution, legal bases, paper of the sexual education in the in force curriculum, options to which the Venezuelan woman can resort in case of experiencing a not wished pregnancy and finally some reflections and recommendations.El presente artículo resume un conjunto de reflexiones en torno a las políticas públicas aplicadas de manera formal e informal en Venezuela en relación al control de la natalidad. La enseñanza de la Historia en Venezuela: algunas recomendaciones

This article presents the main conclusions reached after an investigation in which we analyzed the main attributes of the teaching of history in Venezuela. After analyzing three textbooks from the techniques of discourse analysis, discourse analysis of three professors teaching History of Venezuela and describe the interaction generated in three high schools in the capital in a classroom of that stuff, it was a set of recommendations that are developed here.El presente artículo presenta las principales conclusiones a las que se llegó luego de realizar una investigación en la que se analizaron los principales atributos de la enseñanza de la Historia en Venezuela. La hora de los secretos de Eleonora Gabaldón: una aproximación al discurso de género

This paper presents an analysis of the discourse on the real and ideal stereotypes about gender constructs Eleonora Gabaldon's novel El tiempo de los secretos (The Time of Secrets). The research is embedded within a larger study on the analysis of the discursive production of women in Latin America. Since the completion of content analysis of the novel and discussion groups will analyze the presence of gender stereotypes in the discourse of the author in order to determine to what extent these stereotypes help or hinder the provision of women as social element from the difference and characterize the roles, roles and limitations assigned to it in a particular historical context. This will help us to a concept of gender as internal boundary, as a space for negotiation and / or conflict relations between genders, which can be understood as intercultural relations. The results are tentative and are based on the application of content analysis techniques and conducting focus groups. It is not intended to generalize, but rather to open reflexive and analysis.Este trabajo presenta un análisis del discurso sobre los estereotipos reales e ideales que acerca del género construye Eleonora Gabaldón en su novela La Hora de los Secretos. La investigación se inserta dentro de un estudio mayor sobre el análisis de las producciones discursivas de las mujeres en latino-América. A partir de la realización del análisis de contenido de la novela y grupos de discusión, se analizará la  presencia de estereotipos de género en el discurso de la autora con el objetivo de determinar hasta qué punto dichos estereotipos facilitan u obstaculizan la disposición de la mujer como elemento social desde la diferencia y se caracterizarán los roles, papeles y limitaciones asignadas a la misma en un determinado contexto histórico. Esto nos permitirá acercarnos a un concepto de género como frontera interna, es decir, como espacio de negociación y/o conflicto para las relaciones entre géneros; las que pueden ser entendidas como relaciones interculturales. Los resultados que se presentan son tentativos y se basan en la aplicación de las técnicas de análisis de contenido y de la realización de grupos de discusión. No se pretende su generalización, sino más bien abrir brechas de reflexión y análisis posteriores

The following article develops and reflects on aspects of the life of the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand II of Habsburg. We were deeply interested on this aspect of his biography because it includes transcendental subjects such as the Thirty Years’ War. Citing exceptional writers who focused their articles and books mostly on the aforesaid war, we collected enough information to determine the influential and important role of Ferdinand II.El siguiente artículo desarrolla un aspecto de la vida del emperador del Sacro Imperio Romano Germánico, Fernando II de Habsburgo. Nos interesamos profundamente en este aspecto de su biografía debido a que relata temas tan importantes como el de la Guerra de los Treinta Años. Citando autores excepcionales que enfocaron sus textos en la mencionada Guerra, recopilamos suficiente información para determinar el papel tan influyente e importante de Fernando II.

Treatment with tocilizumab or corticosteroids for COVID-19 patients with hyperinflammatory state: a multicentre cohort study (SAM-COVID-19)

Objectives: The objective of this study was to estimate the association between tocilizumab or corticosteroids and the risk of intubation or death in patients with coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) with a hyperinflammatory state according to clinical and laboratory parameters. Methods: A cohort study was performed in 60 Spanish hospitals including 778 patients with COVID-19 and clinical and laboratory data indicative of a hyperinflammatory state. Treatment was mainly with tocilizumab, an intermediate-high dose of corticosteroids (IHDC), a pulse dose of corticosteroids (PDC), combination therapy, or no treatment. Primary outcome was intubation or death; follow-up was 21 days. Propensity score-adjusted estimations using Cox regression (logistic regression if needed) were calculated. Propensity scores were used as confounders, matching variables and for the inverse probability of treatment weights (IPTWs). Results: In all, 88, 117, 78 and 151 patients treated with tocilizumab, IHDC, PDC, and combination therapy, respectively, were compared with 344 untreated patients. The primary endpoint occurred in 10 (11.4%), 27 (23.1%), 12 (15.4%), 40 (25.6%) and 69 (21.1%), respectively. The IPTW-based hazard ratios (odds ratio for combination therapy) for the primary endpoint were 0.32 (95%CI 0.22-0.47; p < 0.001) for tocilizumab, 0.82 (0.71-1.30; p 0.82) for IHDC, 0.61 (0.43-0.86; p 0.006) for PDC, and 1.17 (0.86-1.58; p 0.30) for combination therapy. Other applications of the propensity score provided similar results, but were not significant for PDC. Tocilizumab was also associated with lower hazard of death alone in IPTW analysis (0.07; 0.02-0.17; p < 0.001). Conclusions: Tocilizumab might be useful in COVID-19 patients with a hyperinflammatory state and should be prioritized for randomized trials in this situatio

Optimasi Portofolio Resiko Menggunakan Model Markowitz MVO Dikaitkan dengan Keterbatasan Manusia dalam Memprediksi Masa Depan dalam Perspektif Al-Qur`an

Risk portfolio on modern finance has become increasingly technical, requiring the use of sophisticated mathematical tools in both research and practice. Since companies cannot insure themselves completely against risk, as human incompetence in predicting the future precisely that written in Al-Quran surah Luqman verse 34, they have to manage it to yield an optimal portfolio. The objective here is to minimize the variance among all portfolios, or alternatively, to maximize expected return among all portfolios that has at least a certain expected return. Furthermore, this study focuses on optimizing risk portfolio so called Markowitz MVO (Mean-Variance Optimization). Some theoretical frameworks for analysis are arithmetic mean, geometric mean, variance, covariance, linear programming, and quadratic programming. Moreover, finding a minimum variance portfolio produces a convex quadratic programming, that is minimizing the objective function ðð¥with constraintsð ð 𥠥 ðandð´ð¥ = ð. The outcome of this research is the solution of optimal risk portofolio in some investments that could be finished smoothly using MATLAB R2007b software together with its graphic analysis
